Brittney & Ethan | Wanderlust in the Valley

Brittney & Ethan decided to capture some sweet moments on camera, as they’ve been dating long distance throughout college. It was a pleasure to photograph a glimpse of their visit together, but an adventure to say the least!

To get to our location at Switzer Lake (near the border of West Virginia) we took the road less traveled with windy turns to no internet connection and hoped we don’t miss it. Then, after hitting at least a mile’s worth of potholes, we parked in the mud by the lake. But you’ll see why it was all worth it.

Towards the middle of the session it seemed as though heaven OPENED to the west, cotton candy skies inspired me to shoot wide and blue hour hit. The moon set into frame, I also got out my film camera which I’ve been pursuing as a hobby.

If you ask any of my clients, I tend to scream pure joy when I get the golden shot. I think I lost my voice by the end of this shoot.

Here’s some portraits that were inspired by most of my Pinterest boards nowadays.

From my first roll of film (ever)
