Photographing a love like this is not something you come across often. I met Madison on a spring break trip in my college ministry, and one of the first aspects of her life she shared about was her relationship with her boyfriend, Cameron. Years later, I meet this super sweet intern at the job I just started at. I ask him his name and ALL the pieces connected together. These two have brought immense joy in my life in very different ways, so finally photographing them together was a full-circle moment. It may have been super chilly, but the joy of the experience made it so warm.

Madison & Cameron have been together since the 7th grade. Growing up in love is something we all dream of, and my goal for this session was to bring their deeply rooted joy to life. Two best friends. We started off that chilly autumn day on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University full of vibrant yellow leaves and one of my favorite mountain views. After a couple outfit changes, we drove over to warm up with a hot chocolate at Merge Coffee Company in Downtown Harrisonburg (one of my favorite places).

We wrapped up outside Perch at Magpie for more of an urban feel. It was one of those times where we were just hanging out and I just happened to have my camera in my hand. The kind that I aim for every portrait experience to be like.
